Organic Consumers Association
The Organic Consumers Association is a non-profit organization based in Minnesota. OCA is focused on a variety of issues including food safety, industrial agriculture, corporate accountability and environmental sustainability. You can subscribe to their free weekly email newsletter. OCA is quite a political organization, but they provide lots of excellent information about the foods we eat every day and what we need to know to be safe.

Wildlife & Animal Protection

American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemispere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then and they continue to battle cuelty today. Whether it's rescuing animals from abuse or neglect, fighting to pass humane laws or sharing resources with shelters around the country, the ASPCA works towards the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear.
